Inside Linebackers (4, 44/53)

  • 1. Blake Martinez
  • 2.Ryan Connelly
  • 3. David Mayo
  • 4. Tae Crowder

Martinez was one of the Giants key signings this offseason. They signed him to a $30 million, 3-year deal. Martinez should help the Giants against the run, but he has the reputation of being a liability in coverage. Per PFF, Martinez was the 38th  best linebacker last year.

Connelly and Mayo will be competing with each other for a starting spot next year. Connelly started in three games before tearing an ACL. In that span, he accounted for two picks, one sack, and 20 tackles. Meanwhile, Mayo started 13 games in place of Connelly. He had 82 tackles in his stint as a starter.

Crowder was recently drafted in the 7th round by the Giants. He should make the team mainly as a special teams player.
