Tight Ends (4, 20/53)

  • 1. Evan Engram
  • 2. Kayden Smith
  • 3. Levine Toilolo
  • 4. Eric Tomlinson

Engram is the greatest mismatch on the Giants offense. His speed as a tight end is a nightmare for opposing teams linebackers and safeties. However, like many Giants receivers, Engram can not stay on the field. He missed half the season with a foot injury and a sprained MCL. Engram will have a good season as long as he can stay healthy.

When Engram went down, Kayden Smith stepped up. The Giants claimed Smith after the 49ers released him.  Smith improved as the season went on, and developed a rapport with Daniel Jones.

Smith had  268 yards and 3 touchdowns last season. One of his touchdowns was a game-winning touchdown in week 17 against the Redskins.

Smith and Engram are solid receiving tight ends but are limited in their blocking abilities. The Giants signed Levine Toilolo and Eric Tomlinson this offseason.

Both will step in to make up for Engram and Smith. Don’t be surprised either to see one of the two in the backfield as a fullback on occasion.
