Safeties (3, 53/53)

  • 1. Jabrill Peppers
  • 2. Xavier McKinney
  • 3. Julian Love

McKinney was drafted by the Giants in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Through the draft process, he was thought to be not only the best safety in the draft but a surefire first-round pick. He will not only be solid in coverage but also against the run. McKinney had 95 tackles and three interceptions last year for Alabama.

Peppers was a starter last year until he fractured a Vertebrata in his back. He will look to regain his starting position.

Love will be a key part of this defense. I believe that Patrick Graham will find a way to use Love as both a safety and a cornerback, where Love played at Notre Dame.

Peppers and McKinney will both be moving around the field and playing other positions. Expect the defensive staff to be creative, and use the two as linebackers on occasion.
