Denver Broncos 2020 roster and depth chart early predictions.

The Denver Broncos have finally assembled a roster that appears poised to compete in 2020.

It feels like a lifetime has passed since the Broncos and their vaunted defense won Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers and league MVP Cam Newton.

A lot has happened since that time for the Broncos.

The team has tried its hand at drafting a quarterback in the first round (Paxton Lynch), signing a veteran free agent (Case Keenum), trading for a veteran (Joe Flacco), and using a second-round pick on the position (Drew Lock).

Picking quarterbacks in the NFL is a very inexact science. There are not even 32 legitimately good starting quarterbacks in the league right now, and they’re a lot harder to find than most people seem to think.

With that said, through trial and error, John Elway seems to have finally found a good one in Drew Lock, a young player with moxie, charisma, a strong arm, athletic ability, and the respect of his teammates.

Lock finished the 2019 season 4-1 as a starter after beginning the year on IR with a thumb injury. The Broncos did their best to build around Lock, using their biggest free agent money on the offensive line and guard Graham Glasgow and then taking All-American center Lloyd Cushenberry in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

For the first time in team history, the Broncos also selected wide receivers with back-to-back picks to open the 2020 NFL Draft in Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler.

With the development of other young players on the roster, this Denver Broncos team appears poised for an exciting 2020. Who is making this roster?

Let’s make some early predictions.
