Linebacker (5, 42/53)

  • 1. Jaylon Smith
  • 2. Leighton Vander Esch
  • 3. Sean Lee
  • 4. Joe Thomas
  • 5. Justin March-Lillard

There may not be many surprises here for the Cowboys.

The top three at the linebacker position remain the same from a season ago with Jaylon Smith, Leighton Vander Esch, and Sean Lee making up perhaps the most athletic, smartest, most physical trio of linebackers in the NFL.

Behind those guys, the top backup is Joe Thomas, a critical special teams player for Dallas.

Justin March-Lillard was also a key special teams player for the Cowboys last year and has proven his worth in that phase of the game at this point. He’s played in all 16 games over the past two seasons.
