It feels like a couple of years have already gone by since the Dallas Cowboys and Jason Garrett parted ways before the team moved to hire Mike McCarthy as their newest head coach.

The 2020 NFL offseason has been seemingly dragging along especially in the last three months as the COVID-19 pandemic has spread around the globe and affected everyone’s everyday lives, including the biggest professional sports league in the country.

The Dallas Cowboys have spent the first half of the year re-tooling their roster with some key losses on defense during free agency and a lot of money spent on the offensive side of the ball.

The team found a way to get a new contract done with wide receiver Amari Cooper even after having to use the franchise tag on quarterback Dak Prescott.

The issue of Prescott’s contract has been the most prominent story in Dallas most of the offseason, even after the team was able to steal Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
