2021 NFL Draft: Trey Lance lands in top five of way-too-early mock draft
Buffalo Bills’ projected win total: 7.9
Paulson Adebo 2019 stats: 33 total tackles, 4 interceptions and 10 passes defended.
With Josh Norman, Levi Wallace and E.J. Gaines all hitting free agency next offseason, cornerback could quickly become a massive need for the Buffalo Bills. Tre’Davious White is one of the best cornerbacks in the entire NFL but they need to find some legitimate long-term depth at the position.
With the 19th overall pick of this mock draft, the Bills dip into this talented cornerback class with the selection of Paulson Adebo. Adebo is a long and athletic cornerback who plays with great physicality at the line of scrimmage. He shows impressive on-field awareness and tremendous instincts in coverage. Adebo also has high-level ball skills and can shine in both man and zone coverage.
Adebo is an exciting 2021 NFL Draft prospect who could come in and immediately make an impact for the Buffalo Bills at an important position of need.
*This pick comes to Miami from the Laremy Tunsil trade with the Houston Texans.
Devonta Smith 2019 stats: 68 receptions for 1,256 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Now, this would be a fun and exciting 2021 NFL Draft scenario. With their second first-round selection of this mock draft, the Miami Dolphins bring in Alabama wide receiver Devonta Smith. With this selection, Miami pairs franchise quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with one of his best receivers and favorite targets at Alabama.
Smith is a quick and explosive outside receiver who shows strong route-running ability and tremendous run after catch ability. He is a fantastic deep threat who also has plenty of value in the short to intermediate-range as well.
An outside receiver combination of DeVante Parker and Devonta Smith is worth getting excited about. If Tagovailoa can stay healthy and the offensive line comes around, Miami could quickly put together an exciting offensive unit.
