Similar to the Las Vegas Raiders, the Denver Broncos appear to be one of the most improved teams in the NFL in the 2020 offseason.

The Broncos are believing that what they saw down the stretch last season from Drew Lock was no fluke, and that he’s the future of the franchise. Their offseason is a direct reflection of that.

The Broncos revamped their interior offensive line by signing Lions guard/center Graham Glasgow and drafting Lloyd Cushenberry III, the pivot of the National Champion LSU Tigers.

They used their top two picks in the draft on wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler to pair up with Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant.

They signed Melvin Gordon to run in tandem with fellow 2018 Pro Bowl selection Phillip Lindsay.

They even drafted Locks’ college buddy Albert Okwuegbunam atop the fourth round to prove just how committed they are to making life easier (better) for their young signal-caller.

Defensively, time will tell if the Broncos are getting upgrades on Chris Harris and Derek Wolfe from trade acquisitions AJ Bouye and Jurrell Casey, but at the worst, they seem to be lateral moves on paper. The Broncos also managed to keep Shelby Harris, one of their top in-house free agents, around for another season.

One underrated move this team made to upgrade the roster was signing punter Sam Martin. The Broncos have been among the league’s worst in punting since their Super Bowl 50 run.

If third-round pick Michael Ojemudia can be an immediate starter for this team, the Broncos have the pieces to pose a threat to the Chiefs sooner than later.
