Round 5

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. player. Temple. Harrison Hand. 169. 885

The Minnesota Vikings selected their fifth straight defender and third cornerback of the 2020 NFL Draft with the selection of Temple cornerback, Harrison Hand. Hand began his career at Baylor and earned All-Big 12 nominations as a true freshman. Hand saw less playing time as a sophomore due to injuries and transferred closer to home to complete his junior and final season at Temple.

Hand has good size and physicality and has played multiple types of coverage between his time at Baylor and Temple. While he immediately made an impact at both Baylor and Temple, Hand will require time to determine his best fit for the Minnesota Vikings. Given his size and versatility, Hand could provide depth at either cornerback or safety and should make an impact as a special teams player.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. K.J. Osborn. Wide Receiver. Miami (FL). 176. player. 834

The Vikings finally broke the streak of defensive players by adding their second wide receiver in the draft with K.J. Osborn out of Miami. Osborn began his college football career playing for the University of Buffalo for three seasons before transferring to Miami for his fifth season. Osborn was a slot receiver for the Bulls before finishing his college career on the outside for the Hurricanes and like Jefferson, gives the offense another versatile receiver.

The Minnesota Vikings needed to add depth to the receiver position after the Stefon Diggs trade and while Jefferson will be the immediate replacement, Osborn gives coordinator Gary Kubiak another option. Don’t expect Osborn to be another fifth-round star like Diggs, but as one of college football’s top returners he could be a big special teams addition for the Vikings in 2020.
