Bradlee Anae falling this far is completely baffling. The Dallas Cowboys find the biggest steal in the 2020 NFL Draft late in the sixth round.

I honestly do not understand how Bradlee Anae fell this far in the 2020 NFL Draft. I know that he is not the most athletic edge rusher in the class, but he is relatively quick off of the ball, shows obvious power in his hands and is a relentless competitor. He was an extremely productive player in college who simply gets the job done.

I can understand his athletic limitations causing him to fall out of the top three rounds, but going with the very last pick of the fifth round? That’s a mistake.

The Dallas Cowboys were the team to benefit from the rest of the league messing up, simply sitting back and taking far and away the best player remaining on the board. Dallas adds Anae to an already impressive 2020 NFL Draft class led by wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. Wide receiver was not a major need for the Cowboys, but Lamb was the best player available and Dallas stuck to their board and found great value.

As the draft went along, the Cowboys have continued to find proper value while also filling some important positions of need. Cornerback Trevon Diggs in the in the second round made a lot of sense and they double-dipped at the position, landing Reggie Robinson II in the fourth. Neville Gallimore was a third-round selection who has fantastic upside as an interior pass rusher and fourth-rounder Tyler Biadasz helps fill an important need on the interior offensive line.

Now they add Anae to the mix and have done an incredible job of finding value throughout the 2020 NFL Draft. Make no mistake about it, Anae has a bright future at the next level and will prove to be a massive steal for the Dallas Cowboys. Anae should be able to make an immediate impact for the Cowboys at the defensive end position, using his high motor, quick first step and extremely strong hands to change the game as both a run defender and pass rusher.
