The top wide receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft falls right into laps of Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys, but how does he fit into their offense?

The 2020 NFL Draft offers up yet another surprise as the top wide receiver in the class falls to the Dallas Cowboys. It’s no secret that Dallas needed to address their secondary, however they would’ve been fools to pass up on a talent like CeeDee Lamb.

When you look at the Dallas Cowboys offensive depth chart you would figure that Lamb fits in like a glove. He can line up in the slot or out wide. The weapons are now endless for quarterback Dak Prescott who now seems to have one of the most talented playmakers around him.

Lamb will not blow anyone away with his speed, but he does have insane quickness and elusiveness that will leave defenders on the ground wondering how they missed the tackle. He’s a physical player that will battle for position. Lamb is exactly who the Dallas Cowboys needed to take this offense to the next level.

As much as I wanted to see them take a defensive player, Lamb was just too talented to pass over. The Dallas Cowboys get an A+ from me solely on Lambs talent. If you told me yesterday that CeeDee Lamb would be available at number 17 overall I would’ve called you crazy.

There were defensive prospects that were highly thought of still on the board that if the Dallas Cowboys selected would’ve gotten a high grade from me. Guys like Florida cornerback C.J. Henderson or TCU cornerback Jeff Gladney could’ve been suitable selections, but Jerry Jones loves to make a splash and this is certainly that.

Dallas Cowboys fans should be very excited about the potential fire power of their offense, but they must find some talented defensive players in days two and three of the 2020 NFL Draft.
