IDL. Utah. Leki Fotu. Pick Analysis. 4. player. 32. Scouting Report

With the 114th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select Leki Fotu. A few weeks back I pinpointed some potential late-round targets for the Arizona Cardinals. Fotu was a guy who I mentioned as a possible fit on defense and here we are!

Fotu is a massive man on the interior, at 6-foot-5, 330 pounds, Fotu is a space-eating run defender. When looking at the Cardinals’ needs, the interior defensive line was near the top for me, along with offensive tackle and linebacker. This pick is a big need filler.

Fotu was one of the big names who played on a very impressive Utah defense. He is a big two-gapping defensive tackle who has a lot to like in terms of run defending. However, do not expect much pass-rush upside. Fotu gets hung up on blocks and does not offer much explosion from the interior. He has a great anchor and is a bull on the inside, but don’t expect huge production numbers from him.

This pick is fine, the value is fine, it is right around where I would have drafted him. The player is fine, he’s a rotational run-stuffing defensive tackle, so that’s fine for a fourth-round pick. Fotu will be a run-stuffing defensive tackle brought in to get a strong push on the interior.
