Scouting Report. Alabama. Jedrick Wills Jr.. player. Pick Analysis. OT. 10. 53

There was so much smoke around the Cleveland Browns trading down from No. 10 entering the 2020 NFL Draft. However, there simply did not seem to be much interest in moving up in the first round and the Browns decided to stand pat. Luckily for them, the board broke extremely well, as Cleveland sat at No. 10 with three incredibly talented offensive tackles still on the board.

Jedrick Wills Jr. was my favorite offensive tackle in the 2020 NFL Draft class and the Browns were able to sit back and watch him fall into their laps at No. 10. Wills did not play left tackle in college, but he did protect his left-handed quarterback’s blind side at the right tackle position. If you have concerns about Wills’ ability to play left tackle at the next level, take another look at his tape. This guy is going to be a strong contributor no matter where he plays on the offensive line.

Wills is an incredibly tough and physical offensive lineman who consistently looks to embarrass his opponents. He is quick off of the ball, shows extremely strong hands and always plays through the whistle. Wills is not an athletic marvel at the offensive tackle position, but he does move well in space and is fluid in pass protection. He will have no issues reaching the second-level in Kevin Stefanski’s wide-zone system.

Simply put, Jedrick Wills is the best overall offensive lineman in the 2020 NFL Draft class and he should be able to immediately handle left tackle duties for the Cleveland Browns. With such an obvious hole at the left tackle position, snagging Wills at No. 10 was the best-case scenario for this team.
