2020 NFL Draft: Final mock draft with shocking picks and big trades
The Jets would have to be pinching themselves sitting here at 11 overall with three of the top tackles still on the board.
They could easily go with a receiver here as well, so don’t sleep on that, but the Jets have to protect Sam Darnold and they might have to worry about the receiver position later.
Even with Breshad Perriman as a presumed number one in the passing game, Jedrick Wills is the pick here.
The Jets went out and made some moves that will hopefully keep Sam Darnold on his feet more often than not, including signing George Fant to play left tackle. That leaves a huge void at right tackle still, and it just so happens that Jedrick Wills is considered by many to be the top right tackle in this class.
His ability to pick up stunts and absorb pass rushers at Alabama was impressive, but this guy can also bury people in the running game.
