The Los Angeles Rams play in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL.

For six games every season – at a minimum (because a playoff rematch with one is likely) – they have to face off against the likes of: Kyler Murray with DeAndre Hopkins, Larry Fitzgerald, Christian Kirk, and Andy Isabella; Russell Wilson with Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, and Greg Olsen; and Jimmy Garoppolo with George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, and the 49ers’ top-notch running game.

Getting to the quarterback is of paramount importance, and right now the Rams’ top two pass rush threats from the edge are Leonard Floyd and Samsom Ebukam. Those guys would be a third or fourth rusher on pretty much every other NFL team.

Josh Uche could come in from Michigan and give the Rams someone to provide consistent rush on third downs initially, eventually developing into an every-down player for them.

Uche is an aggressive edge player who has proven he has some chops dropping into zone coverage, a necessity in Staley’s defense if he brings over Fangio philosophies.

He could ultimately go higher than the 52nd overall pick, but the Rams would probably love it if he was sitting there for them here.
