2020 NFL Draft: Four-Round 2020 NFL mock draft with exciting trades
Trade Alert!
New York Giants receive: 31st overall 2020 NFL Draft pick
San Francisco 49ers receive: 2nd round 2020 NFL Draft pick (36th overall) and 4th round 2020 NFL Draft pick (110th overall)
The San Francisco 49ers currently hold two first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, but do not have another selection until the fifth round. I expect the 49ers to look hard at trade-down scenarios here at No. 31 and they find a partner in the New York Giants in this mock draft.
The Giants took the elite defender instead of an elite offensive tackle earlier in this mock and here, they find an opportunity to address their offensive tackle situation. Austin Jackson has long arm arms and impressive athleticism at the offensive tackle position. He is a bit of a raw player but has a ton of natural upside in pass protection.
In this scenario, the Giants make an investment in Jackson and can give him a year to sit and learn behind Nate Solder. Trading into the end of the first round would also give the Giants a fifth-year option on Jackson, which would give him more long-term value to the franchise. This is a move that could pay off in a big way for the New York Giants.
The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs have a major need at the cornerback position and A.J. Terrell stands out as a great fit. Terrell shows quick feet and is extremely smooth in coverage. He is able to maintain tight coverage throughout the route and shows impressive natural ball skills.
The Chiefs need serious help in the secondary and Terrell has a chance to come in and provide immediate value for the team. Snagging him with the final first-round pick of the 2020 NFL Draft would be an ideal scenario for this team.
