2020 NFL Draft: Four-Round 2020 NFL mock draft with exciting trades
The Las Vegas Raiders added both Cory Littleton and Nick Kwiatkoski to their linebacker mix in free agency. The linebacker position is no longer the desperate need that it once was for the Raiders, but if the right player is available, I could still see them aggressively adding at the position in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Patrick Queen is an extremely quick and athletic linebacker prospect who shows tremendous natural playmaking ability at the position. Queen is an impressive sideline-to-sideline defender who sheds blocks well and tackles at a high-level in space.
Queen also shows tremendous lateral mobility and a ton of natural upside in coverage. He has a chance to quickly grow into a strong man-to-man defender at the next level and could immediately step into an important role for the Raiders. Linebacker may not be as big of a need as it once was for the Raiders, but they could still use some impact talent at the position. Queen is a tremendous athlete who could quickly grow into a premier defensive player for the Raiders.
The Jaguars go back to the secondary with their second first-round selection. Xavier McKinney is an extremely versatile safety prospect who shows tremendous playmaking ability on the back-end. He is a tough and physical in-the-box safety who works through traffic well and is a consistent tackler in space.
McKinney also shows tremendous natural instincts in zone coverage and solid ball skills. He also shows impressive short-area quickness and physicality in man coverage and could handle slot cornerback duties at times if asked to do so.
Simply put, McKinney is an impressive overall safety prospect who can impact the game in a variety of ways. Adding both Gladney and McKinney in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft would give the Jags a much-needed talent boost in the secondary.
