EDGE. K'Lavon Chaisson. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. LSU. 17. player. 123

The Dallas Cowboys signed Aldon Smith earlier this offseason and they hope that he can come in and be an asset across from Demarcus Lawrence on the edge. That being said, Smith has not played in the NFL since 2015 and relying on him to play meaningful minutes at the position would be a mistake. With this in mind, the Cowboys should have their eye on K’Lavon Chaisson in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. In this mock draft, Chaisson stands out as the obvious choice.

Chaisson is an extremely quick and explosive edge rusher who shows impressive burst and flexibility on the outside. He is an impressive speed rusher who also shows more power at the point of attack than one would expect. Chaisson struggled with injuries throughout his college career and did disappear on the field at times, but he has an incredible combination of explosive athleticism, length and power that makes him an exciting target for Dallas.

Pick Analysis. 18. player. 52. Scouting Report. CB. TCU. Jeff Gladney

After trading down from No. 9 earlier in this mock draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars find themselves a talented prospect at a major position of need here at No. 18. Jeff Gladney is a physical cornerback prospect who also shows impressive short-area quickness. He is smooth in coverage and has incredible natural ball skills at the position.

The Jags have traded away both Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye in the last year, leaving a massive hole at the cornerback position. Gladney is a talented player who brings solid value in this range and would fill a major need for this team. Snagging Gladney after trading down would be a strong move for the Jaguars.
