Cornerback. player. 16. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Nebraska. Lamar Jackson. 188.

The Buffalo Bills and head coach Sean McDermott took a chance this offseason, bringing his former Carolina Panthers shutdown cornerback Josh Norman in following his release from the Washington Redskins.

Norman’s level of play has declined massively over the past couple of seasons, but Buffalo hopes reuniting him with his former defensive coordinator will help resurrect his career. A young developmental prospect that could have a similar style of play to Norman is Lamar Jackson.

No, not the quarterback and reigning MVP of the Baltimore Ravens. The corner out of Nebraska. Jackson had a breakout senior season with 40 tackles, 4.5 for loss, one sack, three interceptions and 12 passes defended.

Jackson is a long, big and physical corner who has the potential to be a quality press corner in the NFL. He is best suited right now as a zone corner, like Norman, and could learn from him each day in practice. With Tre’Davious White, Norman and Levi Wallace projected to be the starters, Jackson could receive the time to develop that he needs and could be a serviceable starter when he is needed.

16. Offensive Lineman. Michigan. Jon Runyan. 207.. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Son of former Philadelphia Eagles great, Jon Runyan, current 2020 NFL Draft prospect Jon Runyan has the potential to become a quality NFL lineman in his own right. After starting every game of his last two seasons at left tackle, Runyan is open to using his early career versatility at the next level.

With a solid starting offensive line in place already, the Buffalo Bills could use a guy like Runyan wherever and whenever needed. Runyan played left tackle, right tackle and right guard as a junior and has said that he is open to playing wherever a team values him at the next level. He is a very smart and cerebral player, growing up around the game, and can be a valuable depth option should the team lose a player to injury.

Linebacker. Wisconsin. Chris Orr. 239.. 16. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player

When I was watching the Wisconsin defense, number 54 always seemed to be making a play. That player is Chris Orr. Orr is at his best when able to blitz and always seems to find his way to the quarterback.

As a middle linebacker, Orr racked up 11.5 sacks as a senior. That’s more than a lot of the edge rush prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft class. He has great vision and instincts, able to recognize a gap and shoot his way through into the backfield.

Orr is still very solid against the run as well. He totaled 78 tackles during his senior campaign and added five pass deflections in coverage, too. Orr is a hidden gem in this class and a real steal towards the end of the final round. He has the possibility of turning into a great pairing with young Tremaine Edmunds for years to come.
