2020 NFL Free Agency: Predicting every team’s biggest move
AFC East
New England Patriots: Tom Brady, Quarterback
In the end, the biggest move the New England Patriots can and will make is to bring back Tom Brady, who would be able to finish his career in New England like he should.
Brady wants to be wanted, it seems, and it’s been leaked out there that he would play for the Titans, Raiders, and possibly even the 49ers.
There’s no doubt Brady could be on the move, but in the end, how could the Patriots not pay up to keep him around?
Miami Dolphins: Joe Thuney, Offensive Guard
Although this could actually hurt the Patriots’ case for keeping Tom Brady, it’s very possible that the Patriots lose one of the key pieces of their offensive line to a division rival.
The Miami Dolphins will be one of the many teams trying to sign the Patriots’ free agent offensive guard, and Thuney is due a massive pay day.
He re-joins Brian Flores with the Dolphins in South Beach.
New York Jets: Jack Conklin, Offensive Tackle
The Jets would undoubtedly like to have both Jack Conklin and Joe Thuney join their squad this offseason, but if they had to settle for just one, having Conklin come over from the Titans would be huge.
They desperately need to improve the offensive line this offseason, and Conklin has been a solid player for the Titans over the course of his first four years in the NFL.
Buffalo Bills: Yannick Ngakoue, Defensive End (trade)
The Bills aren’t going to be able to get a pass rusher as impactful as Yannick Ngakoue with their first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, but would they seriously consider trading that pick and giving Ngakoue the extension he covets?
It’s possible.
The Bills’ defense is the team’s strength, and they will certainly look to fortify it this offseason. They may not trade their first-round pick for Ngakoue straight up, but they might be willing to part with a valuable pick or two to make him their top pass rusher.
