First Round

player. Scouting Report. Wide Receiver. Jerry Jeudy. 1. 829. Pick Analysis. Alabama

I wholeheartedly believe that New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas will attack the offensive line in free agency signing multiple players. Some of the players that I mentioned in the first slide could already be in the fold by the time the draft rolls around which opens up the possibility of New York taking a legit playmaker at 11.

Jerry Jeudy is the type of receiver that can take over games and the Jets haven’t had that in a long time. He’s one of the best pure route runners in the country and can create separation with ease. Not to mention he’s an absolute problem with the ball in his hands. He may not be as fast as his Bama teammate Henry Ruggs III but he’s insanely quick and agile with the ability to make guys miss.

The New York Jets brain trust talked a lot about the need for speed and dynamic playmakers for Sam Darnold and if they take care of most of the offensive line in free agency that should clear the way for Jeudy to become a Jet.

Second Round

Center. LSU. 2. player. 817. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Lloyd Cushenberry III

The best way for the New York Jets to fill their hole at center is through the draft and LSU’s Lloyd Cushenberry III could be an absolute coup in the second round. This would be a really good strategy by Joe Douglas by addressing most of the offensive line positions via free agency then grabbing his center in round two of the draft it allows him more flexibility later in the draft.

So with the first two picks of his tenure, Douglas takes a dynamic weapon for Darnold as well as an anchor at center. It is all about building blocks for their young quarterback and I’m sure he would be thrilled to see these guys come aboard.
