Carolina Panthers load up on defense in 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft
After the baffling trade of Trai Turner earlier this week, the Carolina Panthers now have a massive hole on their interior offensive line. This was already a position of need for Carolina, but now they simply must address the situation. With the Panthers loading up on defense early in this 2020 NFL mock draft, their interior offensive line has to wait until the fifth round.
Ben Bredeson is a big and strong offensive lineman who consistently dominates at the point of attack. He has strong hands and a powerful lower half which he uses to consistently drive defenders out of the way.
Bredeson’s game is built on power, but he does have some foot quickness, moving pretty well in space and showing the ability to connect with blocks on the second level. Simply put, Bredeson is a good offensive line prospect who could come in and compete for an immediate starting job with the Carolina Panthers.
Khalil Davis is an extremely quick and explosive interior defensive line prospect who shines as a one-gap penetrator. He is a bit of a raw player who lacks ideal functional strength, but Davis undoubtedly has plenty of upside as an interior rusher at the next level.
With their final pick of this 2020 NFL mock draft, the Carolina Panthers select Binjimen Victor, an interesting wide receiver prospect out of Ohio State. Victor is a big and long receiver who has a wide catch radius and has success in contested-catch situations. He is a good route runner who has solid speed and changes directions well.
Victor also shows plenty of upside as a run after catch receiver. Simply put, Victor has a nice combination of skills and has plenty of upside as an outside receiver at the next level.
