11. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. QB. Utah State. Jordan Love. player. 48

With the top four offensive tackles already off of the board, the New York Jets could strongly consider a trade down option here. Jordan Love is clearly the top remaining quarterback on the board and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a massive need at the position. With two teams up next who could certainly be interested in Love (Las Vegas Raiders at 12 and Indianapolis Colts at 13), the Bucs use a third-round pick to trade up a few spots and secure their guy.

Love is an incredibly talented quarterback prospect who pairs impressive overall athleticism with his big arm. Bucs head coach Bruce Arians loves to push the ball down the field and Love undoubtedly has the arm strength to make that happen.

He is an extremely raw and underdeveloped player who is going to need some time before he is ready to actually start NFL games. That being said, Love’s long-term upside is incredibly tempting and his skill-set is a strong fit for this team.

In this scenario, the Bucs would have to find a starting quarterback for the 2020 season. Whether that means placing the franchise tag of Jameis Winston or finding a different veteran stop-gap option, Tampa will want to find a veteran quarterback who they can count on as a legitimate starting option in 2020.

For the long-term though, Love would be the guy. With proper coaching and development, Love could quickly become a premier quarterback in the NFL, especially when you consider all of the offensive talent that would be surrounding him in Tampa Bay.
