Giants general manager Dave Gettleman surprised some with the selection of Daniel Jones last year when some considered Jones to be a borderline day two selection at the position.

Jedrick Wills hasn’t been the unanimous top offensive tackle prospect throughout the draft process but he’s quickly emerging in that way the more people watch of him.

The Giants could utilize Wills on the right side where he started at Alabama over the last couple of years, but he projects well as a starter at either tackle position going forward and with Nate Solder a potential cap casualty in the coming weeks, it makes sense that the Giants will look to a deep crop of tackles in the 2020 NFL Draft to add some protection for Daniel Jones.

Wills has excellent balance and footwork in addition to being powerful in the run game. He shows excellent awareness against stunts and in pass protection, he’s a brick wall.
