Five team fits for Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as he enters the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Tua Tagovailoa press conference was relatively quick and ended with a result that many expected. Tagovailoa decided to forgo his senior season and enter the 2020 NFL Draft. This decision has major fallout regarding the state of the quarterback class for 2020, and for the top of the draft board come April.

Tua suffered a fractured and dislocated hip back in November against Mississippi State, an injury that ended his 2019 season and put doubts about his availability in 2020. He came into the 2019 season with injury concerns after an ankle injury in 2018. Tua also suffered an ankle sprain in 2019 as well.

Medicals will be key for Tua as he goes through the draft process, as teams will want reports on how things are progressing at the combine (should he attend) and the Alabama pro day. As long as those check out, Tua should be a high pick in the draft.

Tua was having a very good season before his injury. He completed 71.4 percent of his passes for 2,840 yards and threw 33 touchdowns to just three interceptions in his nine games.

As far as a prospect goes, the film is very good. Tua has the accuracy to all levels of the field, including spectacular touch to the intermediate and deep levels of the field. He throws with great anticipation and improved a ton with his pocket awareness to start the 2019 season. Tua has also shown great poise and leadership at the position and has all those intangibles to lead a locker room.

With all that said, what five teams make the most sense for Tua Tagovailoa in the 2020 NFL Draft? Let’s take a look.
