2020 NFL Draft: Alabama OT Jedrick Wills leaving school early
Alabama offensive tackle Jedrick Wills has declared early for the 2020 NFL Draft, passing on a chance to return for his senior season in Tuscaloosa.
The 2020 NFL Draft class is going to be very deep at the offensive tackle position with at least two potential top 10 picks already declaring their intent to leave school early.
Georgia’s Andrew Thomas already made known his intentions to leave school and go to the NFL, and now Alabama’s Jedrick Wills has followed suit.
Although Thomas and Wills play on opposite sides of the offensive line, they are each dominant prospects in their own right and Wills has really come on this season for the Crimson Tide.
He announced his decision on Twitter.

Wills had a dominant season for the Crimson Tide, and was especially impressive for Alabama against the Auburn Tigers.
Wills shut down his right side of the line and showed tremendous athleticism and intelligence, picking up stunts and using his physical skills in tandem with his football IQ all season.
His rise to prominence was really first brought up by Dane Brugler of The Athletic, who had Wills in the top 10 of a mock draft before many were even talking about him as a legit first-round prospect. Since Brugler’s mock draft and inclusion of Wills as OT1 in this draft class, others have caught on, and he’s likely gotten a good word from the NFL Draft advisory board about where he will land come time for the 2020 NFL Draft.
We had Wills going sixth overall to the Los Angeles Chargers in our latest mock draft as well, though that mock had him as the OT2 behind Andrew Thomas.
The NFL has been struggling to find a lot of great offensive line talent coming out of the college ranks in recent years, so the 2020 NFL Draft will be a breath of fresh air for everyone.
Wills’ inclusion in this class helps fortify the depth we’re all excited about.
