Auburn. Derrick Brown. 13. player. DT. 46. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

This would legitimately be a dream scenario for the Indianapolis Colts. Derrick Brown has an incredible combination of power and quickness from the defensive tackle position. He should not be available when the Colts go on the clock at number 13, but there are not a lot of teams looking for interior defensive line depth, causing him to fall in this mock.

Defensive tackle is a massive need for the Colts and Brown is by far the best in the class. If he is on the board, this is an easy decision for Chris Ballard and company.

Iowa. player. 48. A.J. Epenesa. 14. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DL

A quarterback could be under consideration for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round, but there is not an ideal quarterback prospect available and the team still has other needs. Instead of reaching for a quarterback, the Bucs take care of their need on the defensive line.

A.J. Epenesa is an incredibly powerful defensive lineman who consistently wins at the point of attack. However, do not sleep on his ability to move. Epenesa gets off of the ball quickly and consistently shows strong upfield burst as a pass rusher. The Bucs could use Epenesa on the edge on early downs and kick him inside as a matchup nightmare against offensive guards on passing downs.

CB. 15. 45. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Alabama. Trevon Diggs. player

Trevon Diggs is a big and athletic cornerback prospect who could grow into a legitimate shut-down option at the next level. Diggs is physical at the line of scrimmage and uses his long arms to consistently keep opposing receivers uncomfortable. He is a fierce man-to-man defender who has a bright future and would be a welcomed addition to the Denver Broncos secondary.

16. 44. Scouting Report. CB. LSU. Kristian Fulton. player. Pick Analysis

The Atlanta Falcons have a variety of needs on the defensive side of the ball and find an opportunity to fill one here with the 16th pick of this mock. Kristian Fulton is a smart, quick and athletic cornerback prospect who excels in man-to-man coverage. He is smooth in coverage, mirrors opposing receivers well and has impressive natural ball skills. The Falcons take Fulton here as a possible shut-down cornerback on the outside.

Scouting Report. S. player. Pick Analysis. LSU. Grant Delpit. 17. 123

LSU safety Grant Delpit is one of the best defensive backs in the 2020 NFL draft class. He is an extremely active and athletic safety prospect who shines in all areas of coverage. Delpit can lock up running backs, tight ends and even some receivers in man coverage, can make plays in short zone and is a playmaker on the back-end.

This season Delpit has had some issues with tackling in space. He just does not seem interested in coming up making plays against the run. Is this just a sign of him saving himself for the NFL or is it an actual concern for the next level? It is hard to say for sure, but we have to at least consider holding that against him for now. Even with the tackling issues, the Dallas Cowboys take Delpit here as they have a desperate need at the safety position.

Scouting Report. LSU. 18. 59. Pick Analysis. EDGE. K'Lavon Chaisson. player

For the third pick in a row, an LSU defender comes off of the board. Here, the Miami Dolphins snag edge rusher K’Lavon Chaisson. With a tremendous combination of length and athleticism, Chaisson has incredible upside as an edge defender at the next level. His overall game is a bit of a work in progress, but Chaisson gets off of the ball quickly and shows great bend around the edge. With a bit of refinement, he could quickly become a tremendous asset for the Dolphins’ defense.

28. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. 19. player. Ohio State. Shaun Wade

Ohio State cornerback Shaun Wade is an athletic and aggressive player who has obvious upside at the next level. Wade has great short-area quickness and legitimate deep speed. He is fantastic as a slot defender and can also play on the outside. The Raiders need some help in the secondary and Wade is an exciting cornerback prospect who could help them immediately.

20. 52. Pick Analysis. CB. C.J. Henderson. Scouting Report. Florida. player

Some will knock C.J. Henderson because he does not like to come up and support against the run. That being said, he is a tremendous cover cornerback who excels in man-to-man coverage. With easy speed and athleticism, Henderson can keep up with any receiver on the outside and shows tremendous natural ball skills. Henderson is not a perfect player, but he can cover receivers on the outside and the Jaguars need more cornerbacks who they can count on.

TCU. Jeff Gladney. 21. player. CB. 54. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

The Philadelphia Eagles snuck into the playoffs, but their secondary has been an issue all season long. They need more capable bodies at the cornerback position and Jeff Gladney is a guy who they could bring in and immediately count on. Gladney is a tough and physical defender on the outside who plays the ball extremely well. In this mock draft, the Eagles find themselves a good player at a major position of need.

EDGE. 35. Pick Analysis. Alabama. Terrell Lewis. 22. player. Scouting Report

Terrell Lewis is an exciting edge rusher who I think is going a bit under-the-radar. As the 2020 NFL draft process unfolds, I think we are going to start hearing his name much more often. Lewis is extremely quick off of the ball, gets incredible upfield burst on the pass rush and can beat opposing offensive linemen with a variety of pass rush moves up front. In this range of the 2020 NFL Draft, Lewis could be an absolute steal.
