Round 2

LSU. Kristian Fulton. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. 55. 16

Yet another defensive back from ‘DBU’ Kristian Fulton is a 6-foot man-trail technique corner who has continued to uphold the reputation of LSU defensive backs. Fulton is able to run routes perfectly alongside his assignment and breaks well on the ball. In zone coverage, Fulton is capable of reading and reacting to throws but has shown to be more effective in man coverage.

Besides pro bowl corner Tre’davious White, the Buffalo Bills currently lack the pure talent at corner to match up with the deep receiving groups they will be facing in the future. Teams like Kansas City and Houston require 2 top-tier corners to match their talent and athleticism, and Fulton can bring that talent to the Buffalo secondary. With safeties Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde, this Buffalo Bills secondary will be a force to be reckoned with.

Rookie goal: #2 corner, compliment Tre’davious White

Round 3

Temple. player. 16. Pick Analysis. DE. Quincy Roche. 87. Scouting Report

Quincy Roche is a 4-3 defensive end out of Temple who has a nose for the football and chases well. His high motor and knack for creating angles on the quarterback make him a dangerous rusher who does well at tracking down quarterbacks once they roll out of the pocket. Against the run, Roche does well to track from the backside of the play, but lacks the size to set the edge against physically dominant NFL tackles.

On a Buffalo Bills roster who creates their pressure from the interior, an edge presence like Roche would serve well to track down the quarterbacks of the AFC who have made escaping the pocket a regular occurrence. With talented rushers like Ed Oliver and Jerry Hughes, Buffalo will have a feisty defensive line.

Rookie goal: Sub-package pass-rusher

Round 4

player. Scouting Report. Oregon. Calvin Throckmorton. 119. 16. Pick Analysis. OT/G

As the starting right tackle for the Oregon Ducks over the past three seasons, Throckmorton has shown quick feet and the ability to slide to the edge. Throckmorton has shown growth over the past years, growing as a pass-blocker while still keeping his grit in his downhill run-blocking.

Throckmorton has been expected to slide to guard at the NFL level but has shown the mobility and hand usage to stay at tackle at the NFL level. The Buffalo Bills do not have any standouts at tackle but could use the depth. Throckmorton is a player who can be molded into either a guard or tackle and will provide quality depth to the unit.

Rookie goal: Backup swing tackle
