2020 NFL Draft: Dolphins pass on Tua in this first-round mock draft
The Washington Redskins are a team that could go in a few different directions in the 2020 NFL Draft. Their direction will depend a lot on who their head coach ends up being in 2020 and beyond. Even with Thomas off the board, they could still go offensive tackle. Receiver is also an option early here for them. Washington doesn’t have a second-round pick, so finding an impact player here in round one is all the more important.
They decide to bolster their secondary and select Ohio State corner Jeffrey Okudah. Josh Norman doesn’t have it anymore and there hasn’t been enough development from players like Fabian Moreau. Okudah would immediately make this secondary better and is the best corner in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Okudah is a fluid corner who can play man coverage with his quickness, ability to change direction, and ability to recover. He can also play off coverage in zone, showing the ability to click and close to make plays. Ball skills were his biggest question mark coming into the season, but he’s shown he can make plays when the ball is in the air.
Sign me up for Okudah vs. Amari Cooper twice a year right now.
