LSU. 23. player. 59. Scouting Report. EDGE. Pick Analysis. K'Lavon Chaisson

Another pick for the Dolphins! After going with a couple of Crimson Tide guys on the offensive side of the ball, Miami now opts for a rival LSU Tiger on the defensive end. K’Lavon Chaisson is a very versatile linebacker who excels rushing the passer but also has the ability to cover wide receivers man to man.

Chaisson has a great frame for an NFL pass rusher and has really seen a bump in production this season. After playing just one game in 2018, this season Chaisson has 52 tackles, 11.5 for loss, 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble and two pass breakups.

Although a very raw prospect at this point, it seems as though Chaisson is already starting to put it together, and if he does he could end up being one of the best players in the league. After finding their quarterback and a guy to protect their quarterback, the Dolphins go after a guy to pressure the other team’s quarterback, something that they are lacking right now.

Cornerback. Shaun Wade. Pick Analysis. player. 60. Scouting Report. Ohio State. 24

If you look at the depth chart for the Minnesota Vikings, you may not think cornerback is one of the team’s bigger needs. But if you watch one of their games you might believe otherwise. While they do have quite a few talented players at the position, the play has been sub-par and very inconsistent.

Xavier Rhodes has been regarded as one of the best corners in the game over the past handful of years. They have three first-round picks and a second-round pick at corner, but they repeatedly give up big play after big play this season. Shaun Wade would certainly be able to help out.

The best thing about Wade is that he can play anywhere as a corner. With the other talented corners that the Buckeyes have, he primarily plays in the slot for Ohio State. Some of the best receivers in the NFL line up in the slot, so it is important to have a guy on defense that can cover those smaller, shifty receivers.

Wade also has the potential to play outside. He is long, fluid and has outstanding instincts in zone coverage. He could step in right away and effectively cover a ton of NFL receivers. The Vikings don’t need a flashy, super high upside but super low floor type of prospect or corner. They need someone who is going to be consistent and do their job, and that is Shaun Wade.
