Pick Analysis. EDGE. 19. 35. Scouting Report. Penn State. Yetur Gross-Matos. player

Yetur Gross-Matos is one of these pass rushers who could still develop their skill set a bit, but have a sky-high ceiling if they can put it all together. Gross-Matos has been incredibly productive as a Nittany Lion and the Titans would love to add a player like him across from Harold Landry.

Gross-Matos burst onto the scene last season with 54 tackles, 20 for loss and eight sacks as a sophomore. This year, despite missing a couple of games due to injury, Gross-Matos has matched his sack total from a year ago, adding 36 tackles and 13.5 for loss. Long story short, the guy knows how to get in the backfield.

Whether it is a pass or run, Gross-Matos can shed a block and make a play better than most. He has an optimal frame for an NFL edge rusher with great bend and athleticism. I think he projects well as a 3-4 outside linebacker and would be a great addition to an already stout Tennessee defense. After adding Jeffery Simmons and Harold Landry the past two years, the addition of Gross-Matos would make that young defensive line a nightmare for opposing offenses.

Scouting Report. Safety. 20 . Pick Analysis. Alabama. Xavier McKinney. player. 52

Xavier McKinney is one of the most well-rounded defensive backs in all of college football. He has racked up 85 tackles so far on the season, 4.5 for loss, two sacks, three interceptions, four forced fumbles, a touchdown and five pass breakups this year.

McKinney is a true playmaker. He tackles like a linebacker, can cover wide receivers like a cornerback and excels dropping into zone coverage as a safety. He reminds me a lot of former Alabama safety Minkah Fitzpatrick who is having an outstanding season with the Steelers.

The Jaguars already addressed their secondary with their first pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, but they can’t stop there. Now with solid corners on both sides of the field, the Jags need a guy that can roam the middle and make plays. McKinney is that guy and may end up being a steal at this point in the 2020 NFL Draft.
