Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Defensive Tackle. South Carolina. Javon Kinlaw. 21. player. 123

The Cowboys have a pretty well-rounded roster at this point, but I think they could use an upgrade in the middle on defense. Senior Javon Kinlaw has been very disruptive on the South Carolina defensive line and will look to continue to improve at the next level as a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Kinlaw is very slippery and hard to block, often finding his way into opposing backfields. This season he has six sacks and six tackles for loss after posting four sacks and nine tackles for loss a season ago. He uses his length well when taking on blockers and has a very high motor, playing through every whistle. Putting Kinlaw on the inside between the likes of Robert Quinn and Demarcus Lawrence would be a nightmare for opposing offensive lines.

Scouting Report. Offensive Tackle. 22. player. 59. Pick Analysis. USC. Austin Jackson

Austin Jackson is a name that seems to be rising up 2020 NFL Draft boards and mocks. He will look to follow in Tyron Smith‘s footsteps and be the next great left tackle to come out of USC. The Dolphins got their quarterback earlier and now need to protect him.

It will be interesting to see how whichever team drafts Tua decides to go about protecting him. There aren’t any left-handed quarterbacks starting currently in the NFL so it will fun to see whether they decide to keep their best tackle on the left side or if they focus on protecting Tua’s blindside with a good right tackle.

Austin Jackson has started every game at left tackle for the Trojans the past two years. If the Dolphins do get Tua and decide to invest in a right tackle, the pick may be Jedrick Wills, who is Alabama’s current right tackle. But I think Jackson’s potential as a prospect gives him the leg up no matter where he ends up playing.

Jackson has the size and athleticism that you want in an NFL tackle. He moves his feet quickly and maintains great balance throughout the play. He can get out and block in space and move up to the next level once he takes care of his man in the run game. Jackson is still a little raw but has the makings to become a very solid tackle in the NFL on either side of the line.
