Quarterback. Joe Burrow. 1. player. 56. Pick Analysis. LSU. Scouting Report

This pick is looking more and more likely. With the Bengals now veering back to Andy Dalton under center, it’s pretty clear that they are not happy with any quarterback that is currently on their roster. Chase Young is making it pretty hard to pass on him at one regardless of team needs, but the Bengals only have one first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and they have to address the quarterback position if they want to succeed anytime in the near future.

The way that Burrow is playing this season, and given Tua Tagovailoa’s injury, I’d be a bit surprised to see any other quarterback off the board first. Burrow has launched himself up 2020 NFL draft boards and LSU into a top team in the nation.

Burrow is a cerebral quarterback who makes great pre-snap adjustments and solid, quick reads once the ball is snapped. He can make every throw you look for in an NFL quarterback and is much more mobile than many think. He has improved greatly from last year to this season still seems to be getting better week after week.

The Ohio native makes a ton of sense for the Bengals at the first pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. As a senior, the Bengals may get a chance to coach him at the Senior Bowl. If Zac Taylor and the rest of the coaching staff are exposed to Burrow early on in the process, I think they will fall for him and he will be the pick at number one.

The same could happen with Justin Herbert from Oregon, or maybe they are tantalized by Tua’s potential, but at this point, I’d be hard-pressed to mock anyone else in this spot for the 2020 NFL Draft.
