CeeDee Lamb. 9. player. 52. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. Oklahoma

Back to back wide receivers in the top ten picks of the 2020 NFL Draft! These guys are that good. CeeDee Lamb has been having an incredible season with Lincoln Riley, Jalen Hurts and Oklahoma this season. 1,035 yards and 14 touchdowns in 11 games is pretty impressive, and Lamb will look to continue that level of production at the next level.

Lamb is a burner who is a true deep threat every time he is on the field. He tracks the ball incredibly well, always finding a way to get under deep balls to make the grab, often taking them in for six.

Although he is most effective on deep balls, Lamb is very well-rounded in his own right, possessing incredibly sticky hands to make impressive catches all over the field. Like Jeudy, Lamb can take a short pass all the way down the field for a score and his a very sound route runner as well.

The Jaguars have a solid receiving corps. D.J. Chark came into his own as a true number one target this season and should continue to develop into one of the best young wideouts in the game. But behind him, the Jags have a bunch of average to slightly above average receivers. Guys that have shown glimpses of great play but have lacked the consistency to be relied upon heavily.

Dede Westbrook has played pretty well to this point in his career, and Marqise Lee, Keelan Cole and Chris Conley have all excelled in spurts, but the Jags need a reliable target across from Chark for Nick Foles to throw to. Lamb can fill that role.

A wide receiver duo of D.J. Chark and CeeDee Lamb would force defenses to respect the speed on the outside. They wouldn’t be able to load the box against Leonard Fournette and the run game, really opening up the defense.

Jacksonville has another first-round pick that they can use to address a pretty glaring weakness on the other side of the ball, but overall they have a very talented and pretty well-rounded roster. If they stay healthy and get consistent play from both sides of the ball, the Jags can make some noise in the AFC. Lamb would be a great piece to help them take that step offensively with their new big-money quarterback.
