Bradlee Anae (#6) – Utah Utes

2019 Season Stats: 28 Tackles, 12 TFLs, 11 Sacks

Of all the players that I have watched within the last year, Bradlee Anae has been the one player that I have done a complete heel-turn on. While watching the Utah defense on film last year, I thought Anae looked rigid and didn’t show a lot of burst off the snap.

However, I am happy to finally say that Anae looks to have finally stepped up his game. And now he’s become one of my favorite sleepers of the 2020 NFL Draft.

At 6-foot-3 and 265 pounds, Anae has great size for an NFL edge. He explodes off of the line of scrimmage, beating offensive tackles to the punch to then use his bevy of tools. I’ve noticed he tends to employ a combination of chops and swats in his game, which ends up paying large dividends for him.

I mentioned above how I once considered him a rigid player, meaning I questioned whether he can bend his hips. Although he doesn’t quite possess the same bend to that of a Harold Landry type-player, it is more than sufficient, to say the least.

As one of my top edge defenders for the 2020 NFL Draft, I looked forward to seeing him work against the Colorado offensive line. If he plays just as consistently as he has been all season, then the senior out of Laie, Hawaii will have a big night.
