21. Dallas Cowboys: Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama

The Dallas Cowboys have yet to give Dak Prescott the contract he has earned but I do expect it to happen in due time. With that being the case, there is another big name Cowboy that may be left looking elsewhere to get his contract and that is cornerback Byron Jones.

Not only may the money not be there for a new deal for Jones, but he also hasn’t been playing up to the standard that has become expected of him in 2019.

All signs are pointing to Jones hitting the market in 2020, which leaves the Cowboys in need of some help in the secondary. Alabama’s Trevon Diggs is another physically imposing corner with elite athleticism that would be an excellent replacement for Jones with the 21st pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Diggs has the size and speed combination that you dream of when scouting corners and has legit NFL starter skills on the boundary. He has quick feet for a longer player and on the rare times he is beat, he can recover quickly. His length is an absolute weapon in coverage, as he forces throws to be near perfect to get by his reach.

This is great value for Diggs at 21st overall and he would provide the Cowboys with a quality option to make the loss of a former all-pro a lot easier.
