2020 NFL Draft: Thanksgiving Day first-round 2020 NFL mock draft
22. Miami Dolphins: D’Andre Swift, RB, Georgia
Accumulating top talent is the name of the game for the Dolphins, as they look to rebuild their team from the ground up in 2020.
They have their potential franchise quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa in the first round and now they give him a familiar foe in the backfield, as I have the Miami Dolphins selecting D’Andre Swift out of Georgia with the 22nd pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Swift is an electrifying ball carrier with three-down stuff and one cut ability that can leave defenders looking foolish in the open field. His vision is special, as he always seems to catch the open spot on the line and hit it with a quickness.
In three seasons with the Bulldogs, Swift has over 3,400 yards from scrimmage and has 25 touchdowns. He’s averaged over 6 yards per carry in all three years and aside from being a little on the shorter side, there are no holes in his game.
Pairing Swift with Tua would give the Dolphins a one-two punch that could turn the team around quicker than expected. They still have a ton of issues on the offensive line, but if they can improve at all without scarifying passing on these two elite talents, the Dolphins could put out a quality product in 2020.
