Likely NFL MVP Lamar Jackson will bring his Baltimore Ravens into Los Angeles Memorial Stadium on Monday night to take on the Rams. The Ravens are one of the hottest teams in football and should be considered among the top Super Bowl contenders in the entire league. This matchup against the Rams should be an interesting one.
LA has not had the kind of 2019 season that we expected. At 6-4, the Rams are going to have to fight to even get back to the postseason. These are all must-win games for the Rams going forward. They need to come out and put up a fight against the Ravens.
The Rams defense has been playing better in recent weeks. Aaron Donald and company are taking care of things up front and Jalen Ramsey has helped take their secondary to the next level. If Donald can dominate on the interior like we are used to seeing him do, it will make life difficult on Jackson and the Baltimore offense.
Disrupting from the interior may be the key to getting to Jackson. If Donald can blow it up on the inside, it will force Jackson to make decisions earlier. That being said, Jackson has been so incredible this season, I am wondering if anything or anybody can stop him. The Rams are set up pretty well to keep Jackson in check, it will be interesting to see if it actually matters.
The Ravens defense has also been much better recently, particularly since they acquired Marcus Peters from the Rams. Peters has been the missing piece for the Ravens on the defensive side of the ball, rounding out their secondary well and consistently making plays on the back-end.
