Bryce Hall. 2. 888. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. Virginia. player

What a difference a few weeks makes. The Jacksonville Jaguars were fielding arguably the best cornerback duo in A.J. Bouye and Ramsey, but since the latter was traded to the Rams, that narrative has changed.  Starting opposite of Bouye has been Tre Herndon, who admittedly hasn’t been terrible, Herndon isn’t Ramsey.

Like with the receiver group, the cornerback class is fairly deep this year compared to recent drafts. This is why I have the Jacksonville Jaguars waiting until the second round to address their hole at cornerback. But don’t worry Jacksonville fans, you’re still going to get a great player for your defense.

Coming into the 2019 CFB season, Bryce Hall out of the University of Virginia was one of my top corners. Unfortunately for Hall, he suffered a leg injury that has kept him out for the remainder of the season. Additionally, he also slipped ever so slightly out of my top five cornerback rankings due to such an injury. Despite this, I firmly believe that Hall is one of the better corners in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Standing at 6-foot-1, and weighing in at about 200 pounds, Hall is a bigger corner who plays physically at the line of scrimmage. Hall is constantly around the football, whether its making tackles like a safety or using his size to smack passes away from would-be pass catchers. While blazingly fast, Hall possesses the great speed to keep up with receivers.

While Hall is not Ramsey, at least not by my estimation, he’s still a more than capable corner who would be a serious get here in the second round.
