Taking a good look at the 2020 NFL Draft class by ranking the top five players at each position.

The 2020 NFL Draft class looks to be one of the most exciting drafts in quite some time. While some of the hype has cooled on groups such as the quarterbacks, there’s enough here to get the attention of any football fan.

What impresses me is that there seems to be a type of player(s) for everyone. If you love dynamic running backs, this class has that. If you have an affinity for potential shutdown corners, the 2020 NFL Draft class has that as well. Point being, if you are a fan who likes a particular type of player, you can likely find it in bulk in this draft class.

While there are some low spots, and that’s true of every draft class, I believe that the 2020 NFL Draft is few on those low points. To prove my point, let’s take a look at the top five players in each position group for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Quarterback

1. Joe Burrow – LSU
2. Tua Tagovailoa – Alabama
3. Justin Herbert – Oregon
4. Jacob Eason – Washington
5. Jalen Hurts – Oklahoma

As I mentioned above, the hype for the 2020 NFL Draft quarterbacks has fallen off since the beginning of the season. Players such as Jake Fromm, who was thought to be a top-10 lock this summer has seen his stock fall in recent weeks. The same can be said for guys like Jordan Love or Cole McDonald.

However, we’ve now seen the rise of Burrow and Hurts, both of whom have been playing exceptional ball this season. Also, we cannot forget about Herbert and Tua, who have continued to show their prowess on the field, further solidifying this quarterback class.
