The Lions have some pieces in the secondary right now, though their trade of Quandre Diggs was a bit curious.

Darius Slay is entering a contract year in 2020 and the Lions have a stellar slot corner in Justin Coleman, but they need some more help on the outside and Ohio State is usually good for about three or four top 100 picks a year in the defensive backfield, right?

Damon Arnette, along with Jeffrey Okudah and Shaun Wade, could all go in the top 50 picks this year for the Buckeyes, and that’s just their defensive backfield.

Arnette is just excellent at playing the football, whether it’s in the air via the pass or if he’s taking punches at the ball in the running game.

Arnette returned for his senior season at Ohio State, somewhat of a rarity for a prospect of his caliber, but he’s done well to prove he’s the type of cornerback who can make plays on the ball and play fearless in the running game.
