Pick Analysis. CB. Stanford. Paulson Adebo. 87. Scouting Report. 19. player

Paulson Adebo is not an athletic freak at the cornerback position like some others in the 2020 NFL draft class. That being said, he is a smart and instinctive player who also shows impressive length on the outside. Adebo is extremely physical at the line of scrimmage and is fantastic in zone coverage.

The Stanford product is a converted wide receiver whose ability to attack the ball in the air has translated well to the defensive side of the ball. The Carolina Panthers find themselves a great defensive playmaker here at pick 19.

EDGE. 20. 52. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Penn State. Yetur Gross-Matos. player

The Jacksonville Jaguars clearly value the defensive line and find an opportunity to improve the position again in the 2020 NFL Draft. Bringing in edge rusher Yetur Gross-Matos may seem like overkill at the moment, but if Yannick Ngakoue leaves via free agency, the Jags will need to add at the position.

Gross-Matos is certainly a bit of a work in progress. He is extremely explosive and athletic on the edge but needs to become a more refined player to reach his full upside at the next level. Pairing Gross-Matos with last year’s first-round pick, Josh Allen, would give the Jaguars an extremely gifted duo of edge rushers up front. This team is built around their talented defense and adding a piece like Gross-Matos ensures that continues to be the case moving forward.
