Mohamed Sanu to the New England Patriots

Atlanta receives: 2020 2nd round pick

New England receives: Mohamed Sanu

With the disappearance of Josh Gordon to IR and eventually off of the roster, New England could use a new big-body receiver on the outside with good ball skills for Brady.

New England had been eyeing Sanu since before the 2019 NFL Draft, but was unable to make a move with Atlanta anticipating a successful 2019-2020 campaign.

Atlanta looks to build for the future with a valuable piece of draft capital at the back of the second round. Sanu is an expendable piece on a struggling roster with the emergence of Calvin Ridley, and Atlanta will likely expend this pick on retooling their defense.

I would not say there is a winner of this trade, since it hinges upon Atlanta’s selection in the upcoming draft. This is a good trade for both teams to fit their growth curves.

Winner: New England Patriots
