With the 2019 NFL trade deadline passed and rosters set, the future direction of many teams have been determined. Who looks to win and who looks to rebuild?

The 2019 NFL trade deadline brought a mix of trades that signified the imminent intention of success for some teams, and the oncoming rebuilds of others.

The majority of these trades involved a soon-to-rebuild organization unloading matured assets onto successful teams looking to load up for a deep playoff run. In return, these teams receive draft assets to delay their growth curve to a more suitable time (“Growth curve” – the trend of how a team will improve dependent upon draft capital and current roster composition).

The only trades covered in this piece will be trades involving starting-caliber players who have continued to produce for their teams after the Jalen Ramsey trade.

This starts with the Mohamed Sanu trade to New England through to the final major trade of Aqib Talib to Miami.
