I expect the Eagles to be highly active at the trade deadline to help solidify their secondary. The first player that comes to mind is Chris Harris Jr. who is in the last year of his deal and is not likely to stay in Denver during the rebuild process. He has played his whole career in Denver so far and still has a few years left in the tank only being 30 years old.

In nine NFL seasons, Harris Jr has 481 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 20 interceptions and is still playing at a high level. He also has four career defensive touchdowns, with two of them coming in 2012. If the Eagles can not win over a trade with the Broncos, expect teams like Seattle, or Green Bay to make an offer as well.

If the Eagles do not land Harris Jr I expect them to go after Desmond Trufant, Josh Norman, or Patrick Peterson. Landing Norman would be tough because he’s in the same division as the Eagles but, Trufant or Peterson is a definite possibility and would be the cheaper option to Harris Jr.

Whoever lands Harris Jr. would surely have to give up a first-round pick and maybe a later round pick as well. The asking price for Trufant or Peterson maybe around a second-round pick and a mid-round pick, so that may be more appealing for the Eagles.
