At this point, Chase Young has to be the undisputed top player in the entire 2020 NFL Draft class.

For that reason alone, it’s fair to wonder if he will last beyond the top two selections, even for a team like the Dolphins who needs a quarterback.

Would the Dolphins opt for Young with their first pick and a QB with their next pick? We saw the Cleveland Browns face a similar dilemma in 2018 and they decided to get their guy at QB and not think twice about it.

If history can repeat itself, great news for the Falcons.

Atlanta currently has no edge rush presence to speak of with former first-round picks Vic Beasley and Takk McKinley combining for two sacks in eight games so far this season.

That’s not going to cut it, and it’s not going to work out well in today’s NFL. If any team is desperate for Chase Young, it’s the Atlanta Falcons.

The term ‘unblockable’ is not doing Young justice this season. He’s firmly entered the Heisman race with 29 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, and five forced fumbles in just eight games already this season for the Buckeyes. Young’s presence off the edge has been advanced for his age and experience, and he looks like a giant among boys out there for Ohio State.

He’s the best edge prospect to come along in a very long time, better than Nick Bosa, Bradley Chubb, Myles Garrett, and many others.
