11. Georgia. Pick Analysis. QB. Jake Fromm. player. Should Fromm declare?. 45

Jake’s top skills: Runs pro-style offense, experience, mechanics, ‘it’ factor, low turnover rate

Jakes top weaknesses: Duds in recent big games, some head-scratching throws, not a talent elevator?

Broncos OC: Rich Scangarello

The Broncos are running a West Coast-style offense with Rich Scangarello calling plays, and I don’t know if there’s a better quarterback that fits their mold in college football than Jake Fromm.

The question right now is, will Jake Fromm even leave school?

I seriously doubt it, but you never know.

Fromm is talented, but he’s not a high-ceiling type of guy, at least as far as we can tell right now. What he has that a lot of other guys here don’t is the fact that he led Georgia into the College Football Playoff as a true freshman, and Fromm has shown he can handle the rigors of the SEC with some big performances late in games and the ability to manage an offense and read defenses quite well.

Fromm is a student of the game and he’s got the ‘it’ factor you look for in quarterbacks, but because Georgia emphasizes the run so much, we’ve seen him somewhat limited when it comes to just going out there and slinging the football around the yard.

If the season ended today, I could see Fromm lasting to the second round and even with Drew Lock in place, I think the Broncos would weigh their options with Fromm potentially on the board in round two and possibly give themselves a nice competition and pair of young passers going forward.

We also know John Elway loves Justin Herbert, for what it’s worth.
