Pick Analysis. QB. Tua Tagovailoa. player. Scouting Report. Alabama. 13. 59

Tua’s top skills: Arm talent, processing the field, pocket poise, controlling game flow

Tua’s top weaknesses: Injury history growing, delivery

Dolphins OC: Chad O’Shea

Under new head coach Brian Flores and offensive coordinator Chad O’Shea, the Miami Dolphins figure to be a rhythm-oriented passing attack emphasizing the talent of the skill position players.

Sound familiar?

The Alabama offense is not a carbon copy of the New England Patriots offense, but there are plenty of similarities.

Although Tua won’t be wearing number 13 with the Miami Dolphins (Dan Marino), he could be the next franchise quarterback to lead this Dolphins team into contention. Again, a lot has to happen between now and next April, but the Dolphins and Tua seem like an ideal pairing at this point and Miami has the draft capital to supplement the roster elsewhere, giving Tua some weapons (maybe some of his pals from Alabama) to get the ball to.

The moment is never too big for Tua, but his growing injury history is a bit concerning at this point. I still think he’s got to be the favorite for the top overall pick, but don’t be surprised if another team gets the top pick falls in love with another QB on this list.
