I love the idea of the Dolphins loading up on offense with all of those early 2020 NFL draft picks, but eventually, they have to get to the defensive side of the ball. With their late second-round pick of this mock draft, the Miami Dolphins get defensive, bringing in Alabama edge rusher Terrell Lewis.

Lewis has struggled with injuries throughout his college career, but now that he has been able to consistently stay on the field, he looks the part of an impressive edge rusher. Lewis shows an explosive first step and consistently gets tremendous upfield burst as a pass rusher. He also has great length and shows the ability to use his hands well.

Lewis is an extremely raw and underdeveloped player, but his upside on the edge is easy to see. Through six games this season, Lewis has six sacks and nine tackles for loss. He is really coming into his own as a player and could be a fast riser later in the 2020 NFL draft process.

3. player. Trey Adams. Pick Analysis. OT. Washington. 818. Scouting Report

Six picks later, the Miami Dolphins take a shot on another 2020 NFL draft prospect who has had major struggles with injuries. Washington offensive tackle Trey Adams tore his ACL in 2017 and missed most of 2018 with a back injury. However, he has been back on the field and healthy this season and looks as good as ever at his left tackle position.

At 6-foot-8, 314 pounds with extremely long arms, Adams looks like he was built in a lab to play tackle in the NFL. He has more than enough length to succeed as an NFL left tackle, is big enough to handle power and nimble enough to move around and protect.

Adams moves extremely well for such a big man, showing quick, but calm feet in pass protection. He is also a smart and disciplined player who shows great overall technique and impressive patience in pass protection. As long as Adams can stay healthy, he would be a massive steal in this range of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Assuming health, the Miami Dolphins found their bookend offensive tackles in this 2020 NFL draft scenario.
