The first three picks of this mock draft have already been exciting for the Miami Dolphins. Taking Clemson running back Travis Etienne with the second pick of the second round takes this over the top.
Etienne is one of the most explosive athletes in the entire 2020 NFL draft class. He shows good ball carrier vision and solid patience behind the line of scrimmage, but once Etienne finds a crease, he is an absolutely special player who can take it to the house from anywhere on the field.
He gets up to speed quickly and shows elite burst through the hole. Once Etienne is in open space, he kicks it into even another gear taking away any angles that a chasing defender could hope to have. Etienne does have some wiggle in the open field and finishes his runs with power when necessary, but it is his elite speed and burst that makes him stand out as a 2020 NFL draft prospect.
The Miami Dolphins obviously need some work on the defensive side of the ball as well. That being said, if they are going to draft Burrow and expect him to have success, they need to surround him with talent. Wirfs can help protect him while Ruggs and Etienne fly all over the field making plays.
